For people who already listen to everything

You listen to hours of podcasts each week: while commuting, exercising, walking, or cleaning. You already have the equipment and the habit of learning through audio. Yet your AI tools are still entirely text-based. SpeakApp makes your own conversations listenable and lets you answer by voice.

The question in one sentence

If audio were a poor channel for learning, you would not spend five hours a week listening to podcasts. The issue is not your ears: other people's content is available as audio, while your own work is not. Commutes and walks are useful attention time for podcasts, but not for the AI discussions that remain trapped on screen.

What changes in practice

  • Your conversations are read aloud. When a reply arrives, playback starts by itself: end-of-reply detection takes care of it, and you have nothing to start.
  • Skim by ear as you would skip a chapter. Skip, rewind, jump 15 seconds, adjust playback speed, or remove a conversation from the queue. These are familiar audio-player controls applied to work.
  • A summary can replace the complete text when you only need the substance, making a three-screen reply listenable.
  • You can respond. Unlike a podcast, your dictated answer is entered into the same conversation so the work continues.

What it cannot do

  • It cannot follow you outdoors. SpeakApp is a Windows desktop application that reads what is displayed on your PC. There is no phone version for listening far from the workstation.
  • It is not a podcast player or a tool for reading arbitrary web articles. Its purpose is your AI conversations.
  • Remotely executed sessions cannot be read because their dialogue trace is not on your disk.
  • After approximately six hours, a conversation stops being resumed in the queue without warning.

Frequently asked questions

Which voice is used, and can I change it?

Adjust the voice, language, and speed. Reading can translate: choose an output language and hear a French reply in English. A separate premium synthetic voice is available with the Entreprise plan and has its own monthly allowance. See Pricing for details.

Does it read the entire reply?

Only if you want it to. Set the reading length or choose a summary. Notify-instead-of-read goes further: it only tells you a reply has arrived, leaving you to decide what to do next.

What if I would rather read after all?

Your conversations remain in the applications you already use. SpeakApp reads what is on screen and types at the cursor. It adds a channel without removing any, and you can turn Reading off at any time.

  • SpeakApp founder Florent Maisoncelle identified this audience on August 5, 2026: “You listen to five hours of podcasts a week. Why do you read your AI agents?” This is not an occupation, it is a habit, and it is the only audience for whom the question “is the ear a good channel?” is already settled.
