What is SpeakApp?
SpeakApp is an app for Windows 10 and 11 that reads your AI replies aloud, sends your voice replies to the right session, and lets you dictate into any text field in Windows. It is made in France, and its free plan includes every feature.
What SpeakApp does, in three moves
- Listen. When one of your AIs finishes a reply, SpeakApp reads it to you, in full or as a summary, without sending you back to its window. If several replies arrive, they wait in a queue and play one after the other.
- Reply. You answer by voice and your message goes back to the session that spoke to you, in the apps where this is available. Dictation also types at your cursor in any Windows text field, in 40 languages, with a dictionary that learns your words.
- Ask. You ask a question out loud: Hey Speak answers it directly or passes it to one of the AIs you already use. Copilot, which will recall the context of each session, is coming in a future beta.
Around these three moves: more than 80 voice commands (read, pause, skip to the next reply, open a tab, copy…) and a Control Center that shows which session is working, done, waiting, or stuck. The details, with the status of each feature, are on the Features page.
Who it is for
For people who spend their day with AI tools: they start a request, move on to something else, then lose time watching windows to see which one has replied. Developers running several coding agents are a common case, not the only one: see the pages for developers, people with busy hands and podcast listeners.
Where SpeakApp works
On a Windows 10 or 11 PC, wherever you already talk to your AIs: browser, code editor, desktop apps. SpeakApp reads each conversation at its source: on your disk for desktop apps, and in the page for web versions, through the Chrome or Edge extension. The app-by-app table is on the Features page.
The one limit: a conversation that runs remotely in the cloud leaves no trace on your disk. SpeakApp can then neither read it nor reply to it.
What SpeakApp is not
- Not one AI's voice mode. A voice mode keeps you in one conversation. SpeakApp listens to all your conversations and lets you work elsewhere in the meantime. Detailed comparisons: ChatGPT voice mode, Claude voice, Gemini Live.
- Not a Mac or mobile app. SpeakApp runs on Windows only, for now.
- Not SpeakApp AI. The transcription app offered on speakapp.com has a similar name and no connection to SpeakApp (speakapp.work).
How much SpeakApp costs
Four plans, one product: Free at €0, no card required (every feature, with monthly allowances: 50 AI replies read aloud and 30 minutes of dictation), Lecture at €4 per month, Pro at €12 per month and Entreprise at €24 per month. Yearly billing costs 20% less. Prices are final, as VAT does not apply (article 293 B of the French tax code). Current amounts and the launch offer are on the Pricing page.
Who makes SpeakApp
SpeakApp is published in France by Florent de Maisoncelle, a sole proprietor. Full legal details are in the legal notice, and support answers at support@speakapp.work.
Frequently asked questions
Is SpeakApp free?
Yes, to start: the free plan includes every feature, with volume limits rather than locked features. Paid plans, from €4 to €24 per month, lift those limits.
Does SpeakApp work on Mac?
No. SpeakApp is a desktop app for Windows 10 and 11, and nothing else for now.
Which AI tools does SpeakApp work with?
The ones you already talk to on your PC: their desktop apps, their coding tools and, through the Chrome or Edge extension, their web versions. Nothing needs to be installed on their side. What each app supports (listen, reply in the session, supervise) is detailed on the Features page.
What happens to my conversations?
SpeakApp keeps no conversation content on its servers. Some features use cloud services: dictation sends audio to a transcription provider, reading aloud sends text to a speech synthesis service, and AI features send it to a European provider. The full data path is on the Security page.
Are SpeakApp and SpeakApp AI the same product?
No. SpeakApp AI (speakapp.com) transcribes voice notes and meetings. SpeakApp (speakapp.work) is the Windows app that reads your AI replies aloud and lets you answer them by voice. The two are not connected.
